This easy-to-make recipe utilizes our Lime Olive Oil and Kosher Flake Sea Salt to bring a unique flavor to the traditional cornbread. You and your family will love this lime cornbread with bean or vegetable soup, chicken, chili, or Ratatouille. Recipe adapted from TastyKitchen.com.
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Pasolivo Kosher Flake Sea Salt
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 2 whole eggs
- 1/2 cup Pasolivo Lime Olive Oil
- 5 tablespoons butter, melted
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
- Combine all the dry ingredients (including sugar) in a large bowl.
- Combine liquids in a separate bowl.
- Add liquid to dry ingredients and mix until just blended. Do not over-mix.
- Pour into a greased square 8” or 9” pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes until top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
